ART+BIO Collaborative is an artist- and scientist-led not-for-profit organization that fosters the integration of Science, Nature, and Art through novel collaborations, public engagement, education, and research. We are committed to broadening participation, accessibility, and equity in the Arts and Sciences. To that end, we create cross-disciplinary, inclusive, and collaborative opportunities for the leadership and participation of historically excluded/underrepresented, and marginalized communities. Our work utilizes the intersection of the Arts, Biology, Natural History and the Life Sciences as a catalyst for social dialogue and creative exchange of ideas with artists, scientists, and diverse publics.
Through a broad range of cross-disciplinary activities, outreach, and programs we aim to:
- Develop and facilitate creative collaborations between artists, biologists, researchers, makers, naturalists, designers, educators and students.
- Design and facilitate innovative ART+SCIENCE public engagement and pop-up events, community outreach, workshops, and curricula drawn from non-traditional, inquiry-based methods of science learning, art education, and science communication.
- Create opportunities for galleries, research labs, natural habitats, parks, museums, studios, and public spaces to become cross-disciplinary, interactive environments for life-long learning and discovery.
