Bold Signals is about how science works.
Behind every scientific innovation and discovery are the efforts of a diverse group of hard-working, dedicated people. Beneath every conversation about the structure, function, laws, and theories of science are people using their skill, knowledge, and creativity to make incremental advances to human knowledge. Between the lines of every scientific article, snippet of science reporting, and all scientific nonfiction are people boldly working against frustration, and uncertainty.
From students, teachers, and professors of science, to technicians, administrators, and research assistants, to science researchers, communicators, and educators, to people who produce, consume, or apply science outside the laboratory-Â Bold Signals features interviews with the people involved in this wonderful, messy, awe-inspiring thing we call science.

About John BorghiBold Signals is hosted and (poorly) produced by me, John Borghi. I am a Cognitive Neuroscientist, Science Informationist, and Science Communicator, currently working out of Brooklyn New York. In 2013, after working on research projects involving functional neuroimaging and the cognitive neuroscience of major depressive disorder, I received a PhD in Integrative Neuroscience from Stony Brook University.
I tweet about neuroscience, comic books, and my various projects at @JohnBorghi.
About the Logo
The logo is based on a high resolution MRI of my brain, taken in 2010. One benefit of doing fMRI research is that you get a lot of free brain scans.
