The Boonshoft Museum Hosts the Dayton Science Festival
The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery presents the annual Dayton Science Festival on Saturday, November 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Every year, on the last quarterly FREE-admission Super Science Saturday event, the Boonshoft Museum collaborates with the Dayton Science Festival for a community-wide celebration of STEM learning. Area families are invited to explore hands-on activities found throughout the Museum and to interact with partners and Museum professionals for a unique experience of science and fun.
The subjects of science, technology, engineering, and math are collectively known as STEM, combined together in an effort to encourage students to become more interested and proficient in the sciences. The STEM Expo (closes at 3:00 p.m.) in the Museum’s Main Exhibit Hall will feature Museum educators and representatives from over 20 community partners.
The Astronomy, Collections, Education, and Discovery Zoo/Live Animals Departments of the Museum will present a full day of science fun with a focus on educational talks, science theater presentations, experiments, and youth-oriented programming.
